altView Running Writing Classes with Strathcona County Library

altView Writes is running free writing classes specializing in queer/trans/feminist topics, but open to all!

The 3 –Day Novel Writing Contest is this weekend, so altView has teamed up with the Strathcona County Library to offer 4 nights of courses in preparation for the contest.  We have also arranged space for contestant taking part in the 3-Day competition.  The 3-Day Novel Writing Contest is an independent competition from altView and the Library, but we are working to help authors who are interested in taking part, or those who just want to gain some writing skills.

Classes are running Tuesday September 2, to Friday September 6, 7pm to 8:30pm at the Strathcona County Library (in the Maple Room) and are open to all skill levels.

Nightly Topics are (in order): getting inspired, plotting, characterization, and staying on track.  These courses are being taught by extraordinarily talented and qualified instructors, inclusing a recent Writer in Residence from the University of Alberta!

Please pass along this  info wide and far.  For those interested, register online here:
