2022 Schedule

Our schedule of events for Pride 2022 is quickly heating up! Check out the full schedule below. All events are free of cost unless otherwise noted. If you have an event or activity you’d like us to promote, please contact us at info@altview.ca!

    • Flag Raising (all ages)

    • Rainbow Reading (all ages)
      • Hello, friends! Come and listen to a story and make a colorful pride craft! Join Megan from Rainbow Reading as she reads a book about 2SLGBTQ+ allyship, followed by a child-friendly discussion and fun activity. All ages and families are welcome, so bring your loved ones! We look forward to seeing your smiles! This program will take place in person.

      • Breakout spaces will be open drop-in spaces for people to gather and connect. There will be refreshments, icebreaker activities, and opportunity to meet people in the community. Volunteer facilitators will ensure the space is safe and everyone is comfortable.

    • Breakout Space: Queer Men (ages 18+)
      • Breakout spaces will be open drop-in spaces for people to gather and connect. There will be refreshments, icebreaker activities, and opportunity to meet people in the community. Volunteer facilitators will ensure the space is safe and everyone is comfortable.

    • Breakout Space: Transgender Document Seminar (all ages)
      • Breakout spaces will be open drop-in spaces for people to gather and connect. There will be refreshments, icebreaker activities, and opportunity to meet people in the community. Volunteer facilitators will ensure the space is safe and everyone is comfortable.

  • Saturday, June 18th
    • Transformation: A Panel on Transgender Experiences
      • How do we create change in our community to be safer and more welcoming for transgender people? This panel will engage trans individuals to share their experiences – the good and the bad – to illustrate the path to a better future. With the rise of transphobia in society, it’s vital to listen to transgender people to understand what good allyship looks like. The panel will be hosted on Zoom and livestreamed to Facebook. Questions are welcome!
