FCSS Drop-In Peer Support

In partnership with Fort Saskatchewan’s Family and Community Support Services, The altView Foundation will proudly begin offering free drop-in peer support beginning March 2019. This is intended to be a complement for Family and Community Support Services’ existing counseling to offer peer support for LGBTQ2S+ people in Fort Saskatchewan. This support will be a compassionate ear, a source for resources throughout the community, and a navigator if an individual requires assistance from Family and Community Support Services’ incredible team of counselors.

Our drop-in hours will be every Monday and Wednesday from 9am-12pm and is located at City Hall (10005 102 Street, Fort Saskatchewan). The doorway is tucked discreetly on the side of the building for your comfort and ease of access. To ensure we have the appropriate supports and resources ready for you, and to ensure there are no overlapping bookings, please fill out the form below. The information gathered in this form is completely confidential and will be used for organizing bookings only. If safety is a barrier for you, you do not have to use your legal name. We simply want to know if someone is going to be coming in and what supports they may need.

When booking, remember that we are in Fort Saskatchewan on Monday and Wednesdays only. Tuesday and Thursday bookings are for our equivalent services in Strathcona County.

Covid-19 Notice: Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are suspending in-person peer supports until further notice. Our peer supports have moved online with flexible scheduling to accommodate any schedule. For more information or to book an appointment, please email Sophie at sophie@altview.ca
