altView is on the move!

Since 2008, we have worked within Strathcona County to make a difference for the LGBTQ or Sexual Minority and Gender Variant Community. We offer various programs and tons of fun activities. There are plenty more coming soon too!

Now is the time to get involved.  We already have a great team, but would love to have some more dedicated volunteers, board members and ambitious individuals to make altView even better.

As part of altView Presents' programming, the Queer Winter Formal is an opportunity for all people to come out and have a gay ol' time.  It doesn't matter who you want to dance with, or even if you really want to dance.  Come and join us for an inclusive and accepting evening of fun.
 

The altView Foundation was honored to receive a letter from the County Clothesline Foundation of Sherwood Park stating that they had chosen to support altView and provide much needed funding for a education presentation project. Our esteemed President, Bryan Mortensen, will be receiving the cheque at an event on November 9th. Please join us in the celebration of our first grant application success, come out to an altView Youth Group meeting or a thought OUT all ages meeting and celebrate our foundation success.

Sunday, September 25th, the altView Foundation was honored to be asked to provide a short presentation for the Sherwood Park United Church's 'Three Minutes for Outreach' portion of their Sunday morning. Bryan Mortensen, altView Founder and President was given the honor of providing the congregation some information about the organization and to bring thanks to the church for their continued support of the Foundation and its work. Currently the Sherwood Park United Church provides a safe place for the altView youth group to meet once a week without cost.

Hi Everyone, I am really excited to announce that the new altView website is slowly going live. We hope to have new content over the next few days as we prepare for Edmonton's Pride Week and the altView Foundation for Gender Variant and Sexual Minorities' 3rd Annual Pride Barbecue and Silent Auction. Our board felt it was time to move into a new direction with the web site and this is the result. Soon we will have blogs and forums and all sorts of new content. I want to thank you for your patience as we go through this upgrading process.
