With all the changes that have happened at altView.ca, we figured it was time to give a quick rundown of all the new features our site has to offer.  Our goal with the site is for it to become a forum for conversation related to LGBT matters.  If you sign up now, you will have the ability to talk on our forums and comment on any of the columns we post.
Here are the features you should expect to find on altview.ca

1. Forums

The altView web site now has live forums to talk about anything you want.  (Within reason, see the terms of use).  These forums are moderated and safe.

2. Columns

As of now, there are 6 columns up.  That is 6 columns in 1 week.  I would also like to point out that that is 6 columns by 2 people.  Over the next few weeks, expect to see 4 or 5 more people writing for the site.

3. Library

In the next few weeks our Library section will go live.  altView has been buying up DVDs for lending to other agencies.  If you have a group that would like to borrow one, let us know.  We will be adding queer content ratings and reviews as we go.  And, as a registered user of the site, you can comment on the reviews.  Heck, if you have a review, e-mail it to us and we will check it out and probably post it.

4. Everything that was already online.

As you know, our calendar, twitter feed and all the other features our site had before are all still there.

5. Finally, you might notice the links to share stories.  Use that to share our columns/stories and your thoughts on them with your friends online.  In fact, the more you do that, the more traffic our site will get and the bigger our community will get!
