The Youth Outlet Format
The Youth Outlet is open to all youth 25 and under who follow the code of conduct below. Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings at 6pm and run for 2 hours. Each meeting starts with the code of conduct being read aloud by a youth or a facilitator and a roundtable introduction where all in attendance are asked to share their name, a positive and negative of their week, and an icebreaker question determined by the reader of the code or another member of the group.
Where do we meet? We meet at the Sherwood Park United Church at 20 Fir Street from 6-8PM. As a group, we then go for optional coffee at Second Cup on Wye Road. If you are unable to join the group for the normal meeting, you are welcome to meet up with us there at 8:15.
The Goal of the Youth Outlet
The goal of the youth group is to provide a safe and supportive environment for youth 25 and under to express themselves and engage in social activities. The primary objective is make youth feel like they are not alone and are welcome however they identify.
